Snowbasin Resort: Major Updates Planned

Snowbasin Resort: Major Updates Planned

A little over an hour's drive from Park City, Snowbasin Ski Resort has glorious lodges and high-end lifts which were built as showplaces for the 2002 Olympic Games. The Holding family, who owns Snowbasin as well as Sun Valley Resort, spared no expense in developing the ski area and the terrain is vast and varied. There are currently no overnight accommodations but that is about to change, as master planning is underway for a resort village!

Significant enhancements and upgrades are coming to Snowbasin resort and guest experience, starting with the construction of new lifts and a parking expansion for the upcoming season; and ultimately, the introduction of overnight accommodations including a five-star 300-room hotel (Club Med) and village master plan.

Phase one features a new Ridgeline chairlift, beginner terrain, parking, and hotel with completion planned by December 2024. Construction of the resort village is planned to commence by 2025, with additional retail, residential, and resort amenities to be added over many years. East-West Partners, North America’s most experienced mountain resort developer, and international planning firm Ecosign are engaged with Snowbasin in planning and coordination of development activities.

Greater Eden, Utah Area:

Just outside of Snowbasin in the great Eden area, Wasatch Peaks Ranch is Utah's version of the famed and prestigious “Yellowstone Club”. Roads and the first two ski lifts are being built now, a private ski and golf resort destination. Former General Manager for Deer Valley Resort®, Bob Wheaton is CEO of the development. This exclusive development is going to be one to watch as well.
